About the Author

Thomas Stacey was born in Bangor, Maine, and grew up in the western Maine town of Mexico. Tom is currently a Risk Manager and has been working in the environmental health and safety compliance profession for the past thirty years.

Tom holds a Master of Science Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science from Columbia Southern University. He graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geology/Geography and a Certificate in Athletic Coaching.

He was a high school basketball coach for twelve years, coaching at Mexico, Mountain Valley and Madison High Schools.

As a former basketball coach in the mountain valley region, and an athlete growing up playing sports in the Mexico school system, Tom Stacey has written this book to share the highlights of his coaching experience during the 1980's, to illustrate the discipline and the rewards of old-fashion hard work, and to remember all the young men that gave their all for their coach and community.

He resides in Turner, Maine, with his wife Susan.
